Dream...Inspire...Create

Heya everyone,

My second post for the day...

Recycled another piece of cardboard for some mixed media fun...
Changed this piece of cardboard...

to this....

I had a lot of fun creating the background...with gesso...gelatos...stencils...distress inks...dylusions...
The flourish is a chipboard piece which was coloured with Distress Stains. I traced around the flourish with a silver paint marker and gave the flourish some highlights with a white gel pen...

For the words, I wrote them on a piece of cardstock with a white gel pen...and inked them with Vintage Photo DI to reduce the black and white contrast. I also covered them with Fevicol(glue) to give them some glossy dimension,,,

#COFFEELOVE

Hello everyone,

I have been going Mixed Media crazy lately...I am loving the "Just Let Go and CREATE" philosoply...
I am yet to take the leap to create something on canvas...so for the while...I am creating on all the cardboards I have been hoarding...Hoarding come to rescue! ;)

Started off with this piece of cardboard...

And happily ended up here...

Just checkout the yummy texture in the background...actually its yummy and fragrant...because I have used coffee to stain the background...

And don't forget the burlap coffee cup...I am in love with burlap at the moment...

This piece perfectly describes my love for Coffee...

Follow Your Heart...

Helloooo everyone,

Sharing a journal page with you today...
When I am working on a scrapbook page or card, I usually clean off my stencils and inks on journal page...they make such cool and interesting backgrounds...and that is how the background of this page came to be...I cleaned off the gesso from the stencils I used on this page and coloured the page with Dyan Reavely black paint...Finaly I removed some of the paint with a wet wipe so the texture of the gesso comes through...

Oooohhh...my favourite part of the page...the heart... some scrunched up thread, a piece of burlap, some recyled denim and a tiny epoxy sticker...

The sentiment is written with a gold paint marker and Uniball Signo White gel pen

P.S. - The denim heart has been cut out from an old pair of jeans...

Taj Mahal

Hello everyone,

Its time for another challenge at Stick-It-Down...
I loved creating a page for the sketch I made for this month...

The sketch is a bit different...so I created a unusual page for this unusual page...
I have created all the rhombuses by using gesso through different stencils from  my stash and coloured them with Dylusions

I added some words to describe my experience of visiting The Taj Mahal...finished off the page with an epoxy sticker which says "Togetherness" and some matching sequins

Do hop over to the Stick-It-Down blog to check all the fantastic page created by the Design Team...
I would love to see you interpretations of the sketch...
